160,000 Citroen Sega and Peugeot 307 and 408 vehicles recalled
Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, May 16 (reporter, Chen Weiwei) The State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine informed on the 16th that Shenlong Automobile Co., Ltd. recently filed a recall plan with the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, and decided to recall some Citroen Sega and Peugeot 307 and 408 vehicles produced during the period from January 1, 2011 to September 30, 2011, totaling 162,913 vehicles.
According to reports, the scope of this recall involves vehicles, due to suppliers mixing a small number of unqualified multi-function valves during production, resulting in cracks in the multi-function valve shells of some vehicles during use, and fuel leakage may occur in extreme cases, which poses a safety hazard. Shenlong Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the multi-function valves and related parts for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.
