240 skiers from Beijing and Hebei gathered in Yanqing, Beijing to enjoy the ＂speed and passion＂ of ice and snow.

BEIJING, Beijing, January 21st (Reporter Chen Hang) From January 20th to 21st, 2024, the 5th Beijing-Zhangjia Volkswagen Ski Exchange Competition started at Vanke Shi Jinglong Ski Resort in Yanqing, Beijing, and 240 skiers from Beijing and Hebei Province raced through the snow.

As one of the brand sports events in Yanqing District, Beijing, the Beijing-Zhangjia Volkswagen Ski Exchange Competition aims to further carry forward the spirit of Beijing Winter Olympics, promote the popularization and development of mass ice and snow sports, build a platform for in-depth exchange and interaction between ice and snow lovers in Beijing and Zhangjiakou, improve the ability of ice and snow sports in Yanqing District, Beijing and the level of professional referees, further expand the development achievements of ice and snow population, and make good use of the legacy of Winter Olympics.

With the aim of "friendship, communication and progress", this competition is divided into four groups: adult men and women and young men and women.

On the 20th, with the start of the competition, the players set off along the track with their feet on the skis, shuttled flexibly on the track, constantly changing their movements, and staged the "speed and passion" of ice and snow sports.

It is reported that the Beijing Yanqing Ski Association, as the organizer of the event, has delivered a number of alpine skiing referees and managers of ice and snow events to Yanqing District in the form of "training by competition" in recent years.

In the next step, Yanqing District of Beijing will further consolidate and expand the achievements of "driving 300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports" based on the functional orientation of ecological conservation area, and promote the construction of "outdoor sports city" and the most beautiful winter Olympic city with ecological civilization.
